Vigenère Cipher Lab

Privacy Policy

Effective 27 October 2026

Vigenère Cipher Lab processes your messages and keywords on your device. Zomplant Apps does not receive them. The app has no account, ads, analytics, or cloud sync.

Who we are

Vigenère Cipher Lab is published by Zomplant Apps. This policy applies to the Vigenère Cipher Lab Android app.

Text you enter

The message and keyword you enter, and the ciphertext or plaintext the app produces, are processed on your device to show how the Vigenère cipher works. The app does not send this text to Zomplant Apps or save it in its own persistent storage. It remains available while you use the app and is cleared when the app process ends or you clear the fields.

Settings and clipboard

The app saves your wheel-speed choice on your device so it can restore that preference next time. It does not save your message or keyword with that setting. When you tap Copy, the result is placed on the Android system clipboard. Other apps or system features may be able to access clipboard content according to your device settings, and the clipboard may keep it after you leave Vigenère Cipher Lab.

Network services and third parties

The app does not use accounts, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting services, or its own network service. Your device's keyboard and clipboard are provided by Android or your chosen keyboard app and may have their own data practices. Opening a link from the About page uses your browser. This policy is hosted on GitHub Pages, whose handling of website visits is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

Retention and deletion

Zomplant Apps does not retain your message, keyword, or result. You can remove text from the app using its Clear buttons. You can remove the saved speed preference by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Clipboard content is controlled by Android and your device's clipboard settings.

Security

Vigenère is a historical teaching cipher. Its output is not secure encryption and should not be used to protect private information.

Questions and changes

For privacy questions, email Zomplant Apps at ZomplantApps@mail.com. If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated before the changed version is published, with a new effective date.
